The Dark Knight, Lego style

Question: What do you get when you combine Lego and Batman? Answer: Hours upon hours of fun on the PC instead of building bricks!

Thanks to the success of the Lego Star Wars games, Traveller’s Tales hopes to recreate the same success in another award winning game. With so many possible sides and angles to the DC comic title, Lego Batman is expected to please both kids and adults alike, although this game might be a tad darker than the previous Star Wars titles. Lego Batman will feature, who else, Batman and Robin. Gone are the lightsabers and Princess Leia’s bun-like hairstyle. Instead, we can now see a delightful array of gadgets and Batarangs. Much to my amusement, I notice that these Lego versions of Batman and Robin have adorably short arms and legs. Throwing punches make them look cuter!

A Batman game is not a Batman game without its host of villains. Expect to see familiar arch nemeses such as The Riddler, Catwoman, The Joker, Scarecrow and Harley Quinn. Besides the PC platform, the developers of this game also saw it fit to build another version for Lego Batman to cater to the XBOX 360 and PS3 market. The game will boast much more detailed environments and graphics. Expect to see this game in stores by Christmas, if not earlier.
